Broken Gas Line Causes Evacution of Target and BJ's Brewhouse

The line has been repaired and businesses are still open.

A broken gas line caused an evacuation of Target and BJ's Brewhouse on Monday morning.

According to Aisha Knowles, the Alameda County Fire Department responded to 2800 Dublin Boulevard to investigate a report of a gas leak at about 9:44 a.m.

Knowles wrote:

"A construction crew working north of the Target building accidentally hit a one-and-a-half inch gas line. Target and BJs were evacuated as a precaution."

Knowles says there were no injuries reported during the incident and that PG&E secured the gas line at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Dublin Police Lt. Herb Walters says all the businesses are open.
