SHARE: Who Serves the Best Tequila Drink in Tri-Valley?

In honor of National Tequila Day, tell us which restaurant/bar in Tri-Valley serves up the best tequila cocktail.

Today, July 24, is National Tequila Day! (Yes, it really does exist.)

According to Eatocracy.com, blue agave plants in Mexico are mashed, fermented and distilled into tequila.

Whether you prefer frozen margaritas or drinking it straight, we want to know who serves up the best tequila drink in Tri-Valley.

Even better, if you have your own drink recipe, feel free to share with our readers!

Cheers!

In a blender half filled with ice, add Tequila and Triple Sec...more Tequila than Triple Sec. Then add Sweet and sour and Roses Lime...more Sweet and Sour than Roses Lime. Top it off with a spritz of sparkling water. Blend for just a short while (this is not the snow cone type, its called Margarita, up and over). Can be made in a shaker too. Then you strain it from out of the ice, and fill your salt rimmed cocktail glass...nice big one. These instructions were given to me by the bartender at Mexicali Rose in Oakland many many years ago and they never fail me. No measuring, just pour .

And you don't need all those expensive name brands...just use Jose Cuervo.

Barones on a Thursday night in Pleasanton use to be good. My friends went last week and they were the youngest ones there at 30 years old. I do believe it is $10 to get in though.
