Former Executive Director of the Tri-Valley Conservancy, Research Chemist

Some of the people with ties to Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon and Danville who passed away recently.

Sharon Burnham, 68, of Laguna-Niguel, formerly of Monmouth Beach, NJ and Livermore, CA died Monday, Sept. 9, after a year-long battle with cancer. She served for years as the Executive Director of the Tri-Valley Conservancy, which was dedicated to preserving open space and vineyards from encroaching development.

Norberta Victor Carter, 77, of Patterson passed away Saturday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto after a long courageous fight against breast cancer and bone cancer. She was employed by Tri Valley #5 Cannery as an Inventory Control Supervisor for 26 years.

Carlos Adolfo Colmenares81, a Tri-Valley resident passed away peacefully at San Ramon Regional Medical from a battle with pneumonia. He worked as a Research Chemist at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory from 1960 until his retirement in 2000.

Paul Gannon, 68, a resident of Dublin CA passed away Thursday following complications of a severe hemorrhagic stroke. He spent 35 years working as an ILWU Longshore Mechanic at the Port of Oakland.

Robert Tait Maultsby, 82, passed away on September 3, 2013 in Pleasanton, CA. He served in the United States Navy and retired after 24 years as Senior Chief Petty Officer. 

Richard Joseph Montero, 80, a resident of Castro Valley, formerly longtime resident of San Ramon, CA passed away at home. He was a retired heavy truck driver.

Odette Louise Oliveira, 76, a resident of Danville was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away quietly at home following a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a stay at home mom who was very active in the PTA and Church of the Assumption.
