ODDJOB the DOG - One Lucky Pup, will luck strike one more time?

Lucky dog hit by car and survives

Meet Oddjob and hear his story. You'll be relieved there are people on this Earth who are as caring and compassionate as the people Oddjob met along the way.

Oddjob is one lucky boy! He was abandoned, hit by a car and picked up by the police. Lucky for him, the officer found a veterinarian who would house him and look for a rescue to take him.

The vet asked Stonecliffe and told us his upper leg was crushed and would need to be amputated. A Stonecliffe volunteer and the vet's staff pitched in for the surgery he needed. The vet donated most of his services as well and decided to try to save the leg. Two months later, Oddjob is ready for his forever home with his fully healed leg!

Oddjob is a young Parson's Russell mix that weighs under 15 pounds. He is very active and loves to be with people indoors or playing outdoors. He still runs on three legs at times, but he walks on all four and we're hopeful that as he exercises his leg, he will continue to expand his use. He is house-trained and crate-trained and is learning basic obedience commands, such as come and sit. He needs to get lucky one more time and find a forever home.

Oddjob is listed on petfinder (www.petfinder.com/shelters/CA1005.html) and he can be brought to the next adoption event at the Dublin Petmart on Aug. 25.
