What's Open, What's Closed on Veterans Day in Dublin

Here's a look at at what will be open and closed on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.

Open:

Some businesses, especially retail and restaurants.

Closed:

City, county, state and federal government offices; Alameda public schools and school district offices; Alameda County Superior Court; banks.

It's a holiday for the United States Postal Service so there will be no mail service on Monday. Since this is a federal holiday, federal agencies that haven't already been closed by the government shutdown will be closed.

There is no delay in trash collection services for Amador Valley Industries customers.

For veterans:

Veterans, Military Eat Free at Applebee's on Veterans Day: Applebee's restaurant in Dublin will offer free signature entrees to veterans and active military personnel. 

Veteran's Day Discount at Bed, Bath and Beyond

The USS Hornet Museum at Alameda Point will offer free admission Nov. 11-17 to veterans with military ID.
