Scouting for Food

On Saturday, November 20, Boy Scouts from Dublin Troop 905 along with several Dublin Cub Scout Packs will be going door to door throughout Dublin, collecting non-perishable food items for the local Alameda County food banks.  We are asking Dublin residents to place bags of non-perishable food (NO GLASS PLEASE!) on their doorstep before 9 AM on Saturday November 20th and the boys will be by to pick them up.

Scouting for Food addresses one of the four pressing "National Unacceptable Situations" identified by the BSA - Hunger - Collected food is re-distributed locally via food banks and similar organizations; in our area, all food items are re-distributed through the Alameda County Food Bank.
