Las Positas College Athletics will hold its Inaugural Golf Classic on Monday, June 27, at Ruby Hill Golf Club, a private club in Pleasanton, CA featuring the premiere Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course in the East Bay Area.
Players of all levels can enjoy a full day of golf, barbeque lunch, dinner, cocktail reception, raffles, prizes, and awards. Non-golfers can register for dinner and evening events. Proceeds will benefit the Las Positas College Athletics Department and its academic and athletic opportunities for students and Tri-Valley residents.
"This will be a great event for a great cause," said Dyan Miller, Dean/Athletic Director of Physical Education, Athletics, Health, and Wellness.

"We invite people to come out and enjoy the day, knowing that they also are supporting programs that make a difference in the lives of our students and in the quality of life in our community," she said. "We have outstanding faculty, excellent programs, and state-of-the-art facilities, but we are facing shrinking resources and rapidly rising costs. This event will help ensure that we can continue to offer our students and community the best in academic and athletic opportunities."
Miller expressed her appreciation to the athletics golf classic advisory board members who are helping coordinate the event. She noted that there are many community and business sponsorship opportunities still available.

Registration
Miller said that people already have signed up for the event. Because space is limited, she recommends early registration; the registration deadline is June 13. There are three ways to sign up:

Sponsorship Opportunities
-Presidential Sponsor: $6,000. Two foursomes, lunch, and dinner for golfers. Four tee signs and tournament gift/team photo. Prominent recognition at dinner, throughout tournament, and in all printed materials; opportunity to supply company giveaways in player gift bag.
-Hawk Sponsor: $3,000. Foursome, lunch, and dinner for golfers, plus additional four dinners for guests. Three tee signs and tournament gift/team photo. Recognition at dinner, throughout tournament, and in all printed materials; opportunity to supply company giveaways in player gift bag.
-Athletic Sponsor Foursome: $1,200. Foursome, lunch, and dinner for golfers. Two tee signs and the opportunity to supply company giveaways.
