What's In a Name? In This Case, Love
Dublin Patch shares the story of how a local couple met and why a certain name was so important.
It seems as though Steven Jones was destined to have a woman named Kellee in his life. First he had a girlfriend who spelled her name with a "y," as in Kelly. He then had another one who spelled it Kellie. And then of course his grandmother owned a capuchin monkey that was named, you guessed it, Kelly.
Flashback to Canada 1985. Steven was a senior in college and he and a certain co-ed had been giving each other meaningful looks from across campus for quite some time. Steven didn't know her name.
During this time, he attended a college party with his girlfriend, Kellie (No. 2). She was in a line to buy drinks when a buddy told him that he had a girl for him to meet.

Steven gauged that Kellie was going to be in the drink line for some time so he decided to meet this girl who, low and behold, was Kellee. Steven said he was shocked because this was the girl he had exchanged meaningful looks with and the girl he had been referring to when he had told his best friend that he "had seen the girl I'm going to marry."
The way Steven tells the story, the two chatted at the party for some time. Well actually, Kellee told me she just smiled and nodded a lot because it was too loud at the party and she couldn't hear a word Steven was saying. Kellie (No. 2) had driven herself to the party so Steven offered to drive Kellee home. He asked her to go lunch the next day and they have been together ever since, much to the chagrin of Kellie.

They were married two years later and lived in Toronto until they couldn't stand the snow any longer. In 1997, Steven convinced the Jatco Inc. company to hire him as a project manager and moved the family to Dublin. Today, he is president of the company.
Steven and Kellee have a 21-year-old daughter and a teenage son. Those of us who know Steven are so thankful that he held out for the right Kellee. Anyone who knows this couple will vouch that they are a match made in quirky, fun, hilarious heaven.
