The Business of Love

It was a business transaction all the way around the world that brought Puran and Nima Moorjani together 25 years ago. 

Nima had just graduated from Bombay University and was working for a stock brokerage firm in Bombay, India. Puran had just moved to the area and his friend, Nima's brother, had recommended that Puran sell some of his stocks with Nima's help. Nima was happy to oblige, but giggles now because it turned out that the decision to sell the stock was a horrible one. They watched it double, triple and even quadruple after it was sold.

Puran and Nima remained friends, though both were dating others. Eventually, they ended their relationships and their friendship became a romance. The two remember fondly Puran taking Nima around India on the back of his motorcycle. He proposed on a beautiful evening near the ocean two years later.

After they were married, the Moorjanis moved to Sydney, Australia, and lived near Nima's family for seven years. Puran always talked about the United States so it was no surprise that the couple took a vacation here. They visited the East Coast but ended up coming all the way across the United States to visit Disneyland. 

They fell in love with California immediately. Nima had a dear school friend who had mentioned that her brother lived in Dublin. He told the Moorjanis that Dublin was a great place to live, an up-and-coming city. They moved to Dublin 10 years ago, where they're raising their two children, a son in middle school and daughter in high school.

Puran and Nima started their relationship with a questionable business decision, but it all seems to have all worked out in the most important business of all — love.
