Readers' Choice: What is the Best Cocktail Joint in Dublin?

When you're meeting friends for a drink, what's your favorite place to go in Dublin?

You just had a long work day and before going home you meet some friends in Dublin for a drink.

Where's the best place to go?

That's what we're asking for this week's Readers' Choice poll. Fill out a selection in the poll and tell us why you like it in the comments section.

Dublin has lots of options. This is the list we've come up with:

Click on the links above and rate the business on its Patch Directory listing. You can even leave a review.

If there is another local spot that we missed, tell us in the comments section below. In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice.

If you know of a place nearby, you can vote for the best cocktail joint at San Ramon Patch or Pleasanton Patch.

(Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.)

Read the rules attached to this article (the PDF) for more detail.

The Tiki Bar is the best!
Dave April 17, 2012 at 08:31 pm
Exactly. Just wish it was a real establishment. I drink with friends in my garage, I dont think that counts. People who are newish to Dublin should look at the results as a real help. Not wondering how to get to some dude's backyard.

The Tiki Bar! It's world famous.

Casa Orozco. They actually do add alcohol in there. The options mentioned in the article made me laugh: their cocktails are all concentrates of powders and liquids with no alcohol in them whatsoever!!

Whenever I travel to Dublin from Philadelphia, I always make a point of stopping at the Tiki Bar for a margarita - there is no other bar like it!

Ok, people, we're impressed by this write-in campaign. If Tiki Bar indeed becomes an unofficial best cocktail winner, we'll buy the drinks Friday! Email us your address and favorite drink recipe.

When Zelda and I are up for a night on the town, we always stop in at the Tiki Bar to see friends like Hem and Ezra Pound and Oscar. (Madera, not Wilde)

Kari - favorite drink recipe is The "Freaky Tiki" - Take 1 shot each of white rum, dark rum, spiced rum and coconut rum, add 4 shots pinapple juice, a dash of grenadine, and shake w/ ice. Garnish w/ lemon and lime slices. Its both delicious and dangerous!! If you need any more info on The Tiki Bar, email me - I know one of the bartenders-

I Love our City! This is not about "Best Bar"! This thread shows how a community will come together to support a friend (and "small business")! Unbelievable what we can do here. And although we know ALL of the venues have great drinks, PATCH should be proud that their reading audience has made a CHOICE thanks to this survey. I think a special interview @ Tiki Bar highlighting the community spirit in Dubtown would be a great feature story, Autumn!
Kerrie Maddock Chabot April 20, 2012 at 06:16 pm
So, are we going to TGIF-it at TikiBar tonight? I know they must have "won" this!
Kerrie Maddock Chabot April 20, 2012 at 06:18 pm
So, Autumn. Is the verdict out? Where is Dubtown going to TGIF tonight? :)
