Update: Power Reportedly Restored In Dublin

Electricity was reportedly out in several areas of Dublin, but the extent of the power failures isn't known yet

Power has reportedly been restored in numerous neighborhoods in Dublin.

Fiona Chan, a spokeswoman for PG&E, said their system was showing no outages in Dublin as of 9:30 a.m.

At 9 a.m, an outage map on PG&E's website shows four outages affecting four customers, but emails sent to Dublin Patch indicated the problem was much larger.

One reader reported customers being ushered out of the Tassajara Safeway after power went out there shortly after 6 a.m.

Another reader reported power was out in much of eastern Dublin early this morning.

There's no word on what caused the blackouts, but the rainy weather is a likely source. Chan said PG&E is investigating the cause of outages in Dublin as well as Pleasanton and Livermore.

Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
