Patch's Guide to the St. Patrick's Day Festival

Top 10 things to keep in mind as you celebrate the green.

Where else can you find green pancakes, a fun run, a festival and a huge parade in celebration of St. Patrick's Day in the Tri-Valley? You guessed it — right here in Dublin.

Here are 10 things to keep in mind as you begin celebrating St. Patrick's Day in the crossroads of the Tri-Valley:

1. Calling all photographers. Are you a shutterbug? Plan to take lots of pictures at the weekend's events? Send them our way and we'll post them. E-mail erikac@patch.com.

2. Swag, swag and more swag. You read Patch but don't have any Patch swag. No problem — Patch swag will be available at the festival's information booth. Patch employees will be at the festival both days handing out swag and meeting residents of Dublin and the Tri-Valley.

3. Read all about it. Can't make it to the events Saturday or Sunday? Check out our weekend recap Monday morning to read about the weekend and see a photo gallery of the festivities. We'll also be updating with photos throughout the weekend, so keep checking back for new shots.

5. If you're trying to save money. Not to worry, there is no charge for admission to the festival or parking. If you're coming from outside of Dublin, check out the BART schedule

7. Green eggs and ham? Nope, but there are plenty of green pancakes. Don't miss Local 55's tasty green pancakes from 7 to 10 a.m. before the parade on Saturday. Dublin Patch will be at the breakfast, so come introduce yourself.

8. In the mood for some entertainment? Don't miss Irish dancers from throughout the Tri-Valley as they show off their moves.

9. What's new? If you're a regular at the St. Patrick's Day celebration, there is something new this year — A carnival full of rides and attractions.

10. Where and when? The City of Dublin has created a site to answer all of your St. Patrick's Day Celebration questions. Click here.
