Looking for a New Four-Legged friend?

East Bay SPCA Tri-Valley encourages people to adopt and wants you to know about two adorable dogs waiting for a permanent home.

Adopting an animal is very rewarding but can be intimidating for some people. You know that the animal's history may be sad, or the details sketchy, or sometimes, unknown.

You take a chance when you open your heart to a "stranger," and hope that you can provide a safe, loving environment.

Rest assured, animals adopted from shelters are behavior tested and socialized with people and animals on an ongoing basis. They are treated and monitored daily for physical health and mental well-being, and receive the best care possible.

Shelter animals receive love and compassion from staff and volunteers throughout their stay, and they are given whatever they need to succeed in new homes.

Our Club Second Chance is a program that aims to promote the adoption of older animals or those with ongoing medical conditions. These animals are wonderful, loving companions who have so much to offer, but may be overlooked at other shelters.

East Bay SPCA works closely with public and municipal shelters by transferring animals into our shelter that need a Second Chance. We also have many dogs and cats who do not have special needs, but are also looking for loving, forever homes. Geronimo and Calypso are two wonderful animals currently awaiting adoption in Dublin.

Geronimo is a 1-year-old, 35-pound border collie mix with tons of energy. Geronimo is fast and playful and needs an experienced handler who will enjoy being active with him. If you're looking for a running or hiking partner who has the potential to excel at anything that engages his body and mind, here's your boy! He plays well with other dogs, but is nervous around children and would do best with adults and teens.

With the proper training, Geronimo will make an excellent companion for an active person, and may make a fine candidate for agility, flyball, or other exciting doggie sports. Stop by our Adoption Center to meet Geronimo – he will run away with your heart!

Calypso is a 5-year-old, 9-pound Chihuahua mix. She is a member of our Club Second Chance, because she is missing part of her lower jaw. At first she's a bit shy, but warms up quickly and becomes your devoted friend. With her sweet, sunny disposition, Calypso will win you over, and she never lets her disability slow her down. Stop by our Adoption Center to meet Calypso – she will put a song in your heart!

All of our animals available for adoption can be found on the East Bay SPCA website, or you can come down to meet them at East Bay SPCA Tri-Valley, 4651 Gleason Drive, Dublin, CA 94568. If you are interested in volunteering or helping in other ways, please call 925-479-9670.
