Looking Back at the History of Dublin

A photograph can say a lot about Dublin's past.

Each week on Dublin Patch we'll feature a photograph showcasing the history of Dublin.

Elizabeth Isles, director of is helping us share Dublin's history.

The sign outside the 1862 Amador Valley Hotel read: "Fresh Water." Traveling folks would stop in Dublin to water their horses, and later, their car radiators before continuing on their journeys. The hotel was built near springs that provided abundant fresh water.
