Dublin Farmers' Market Grand Opening

The market opened last night for the season.

If you noticed that the farmers' market has started a bit earlier each season, you would be right. Shari Jackman, from the City of Dublin, says this is the second year they have moved the opening date earlier into the spring.

The debut of the market was filled with smells of food wafting through the air and the walkways were packed with shoppers last night. The Dublin City Council and the Dublin Police Services each had a booth set up to greet visitors. The jazz band from the The Quarry Lane School performed near the water feature at the end of the park.

The market will be open every Thursday at the Emerald Glen Park from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. through September 26 (with the exception of July 4, when the Market will be open at a special time, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) The City of Dublin has partnered again with the Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association for this season's market.
