Celebrate Earth Day With Films, Wine and Crafts
Here are some things to do for Earth Day in Dublin and surrounding cities.
Celebrate the 41st anniversary of Earth Day, which started in 1970, with a week of activities in Pleasanton and surrounding cities. Spend a day creating eco-friendly arts and crafts, learn more about the planet you live on and enjoy organic wine.

Sustainable Danville Area is celebrating its first birthday and Earth Day with a wine tasting at the VINE at Bridges. The cost is $15 per person and will include a special organic, sustainable wine flight. The event is open to all and tickets can be purchased online.

Multiple activities will be hosted throughout the day starting with Mary Mello, a local youth art instructor, offering three eco-friendly crafts for children age 3 and up from 10 a.m. to noon. Next, there will be a Contemporary British Artist Documentary screening inside the Village Theatre at 1:30 pm. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dragonfly Design studios will assist participants in making resin ring jewelry. Bring materials to fill a bottle cap, no larger than a quarter. A $5 materials fee is payable to the instructor.
