Trampoline Park Opening in Dublin

Jump into summer at Dublin's new park.

Summer vacation is just around the corner, a thought that fills many parents with trepidation. Finding fun activities for kids can be a challenge, even for the most enterprising parent. But this summer will be different with the opening of a  trampoline park on Arnold Road.

, dubbed the “ultimate” trampoline experience, will open May 27.

Sue Wilson, one of the attraction’s founders, said the park provides a much needed service to those in Dublin and the surrounding areas.

“We realized the need for entertainment for kids,” said Wilson. “There really isn’t a lot for kids to do in the Tri-Valley.”

The 20,000-square-foot building consists of a main trampoline park surrounded by a dodgeball zone (with games starting every four minutes) and a basketball area, where jumpers can shoot hoops, using trampolines to take them to the heights of Kobe Bryant and beyond. Jumpers also can bounce from three trampolines into a pit filled with soft foam cubes.

The maximum number of jumpers per hour is 130. Eager jumpers can show up at any time, but Wilson recommends they first log onto the Rockin’ Jump and look at the schedule, which shows the number of reservations per hour.

“The schedule might show, for instance, that from noon to 1 p.m., 120 jumpers are reserved, which leaves only 10 open spots,” said Wilson.

Admission is $12 per hour, but those with boundless energy should stop by during the week – jumpers pay $5 for the second hour of jumping on weekdays.

If you think trampolining is child’s play, think again.

“It’s for anybody who can jump,” said Wilson, “from the little ones with their families, to old people and everyone in between.”

There is plenty to do for those who’d rather remain earth-bound.

“People can jump for an hour then go have a great lunch and dinner at our café,” said Wilson.

The café, which seats about 60 people, has flat-screen televisions, and serves food and drink around the clock.

Rockin’ Jump also offers party packages for children as well as adults. Parties are held in one of three private rooms, and are customized and catered, minus the birthday cake or dessert.

“The way most other (trampoline parks) do it, all they give you is a picnic table,” said Wilson. “We actually have private party rooms, so whoever it is has a private place to go hang out.”

The park already has parties booked.

“It’s overwhelming,” said Wilson. “The response from everyone has been amazing.”
