Top Secret: A Celebrity Will Be at Safeway Fundraising Event in Pleasanton

A famous person is scheduled to appear Tuesday at the Safeway on Bernal Avenue to promote 'Support for People with Disabilities' fundraising campaign.

A celebrity that you likely have heard of will participate in the official launch event Tuesday for ’s Support for People with Disabilities fundraising campaign.

The event, which will take place midday at the Bernal Avenue Safeway store, will benefit Easter Seals, Special Olympics and an array of organizations that help people with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives.

We can't say who the celeb is — that information was "embargoed" by Safeway. But we can say that this person, a young, attractive celebrity, will welcome guests and participate in Safeway’s ever-popular Celebrity Bagging Challenge.

Each year, Safeway raises money to support organizations that help people with disabilities live fuller lives. To date, the company has raised and donated more than $130 million for this important cause.

This year, as a way to thank those who donate, Safeway is partnering with this celebrity to bring a new, exclusive video element and enhanced fundraising to the effort.

Customers who donate $5 can receive a coupon and code to view exclusive videos.

The celebrity will be joined at the fundraising launch event by Safeway Executive Vice President Larree Renda, Easter Seals President and CEO James E. Williams, Jr., Special Olympics President and COO Brady Lum, and two-time Super Bowl winner and San Francisco 49ers legend Dwight Clark.  

Clark will also participate in the Celebrity Bagging Challenge.
