Diablo Flooring opened a new showroom in Danville on Dec. 1 on West Linda Mesa Avenue next to Pete's Brass Rail. The locally owned residential and commercial carpet and flooring company also operates showrooms in Pleasanton and Walnut Creek.
Tips N Toes Spa on Bollinger Canyon Way opened in mid January in the Canyon Lake shopping center on Bollinger Canyon Way across from Club Sport. The full-service nail salon offers manicures, pedicures, nail enhancement and waxing services for men and women.
Wrapping up its short seasonal closure, San Ramon’s Windmill Farms Produce reopened its produce store Feb. 15. The family-owned store sells fresh seasonal produce on San Ramon Valley Boulevard next to the Outpost. Read more about Windmill Farms here on Patch.
The owner of Oyas Hair Supply said her salon suffered two break-ins in two weeks, causing her to close her new Dublin salon at the end of January. The salon, which was located in the back of a small strip mall on Dublin Boulevard next to Zac’s Café, specialized in West African hair braiding, cornrows and sew-in hair extensions.
Mix and Eats Bobs House will replace New York Pizza on Hopyard Road in early March. Curious about that unusual name? Owner Douglas Chang says that restaurants in Korea are often called “Bob Jib” which translates to “Bobs House” and the signature Korean dish “Bibimbap” translates to “mixed meal” that you mix and eat. Chang says his new restaurant will continue to offer some of the NY Pizza’s menu items during the transition. El Jarrito Restaurant was set to open Feb. 17 on Main Street in downtown Pleasanton. Pleasanton resident and professional caterer Maria Basilio said her new restaurant features “Mexico City style” cuisine. The new Mexican restaurant replaces Alma’s Mexican Grill, which had replaced Emilio’s Mexican Restaurant last summer.
Aventine’s hair salon in Livermore recently changed ownership and is now Salon Terra Bella. The Bumble and Bumble network salon, located in the Campo di Bocce retail center, renovated the interior and employs the same stylists. Aventine, located two doors down from the new Salon Terra Bella, now focuses exclusively on spa treatments.
