Construction on New Target in Full Swing

The walls for the new Target in East Dublin are up.

If you're a Target shopper and drive eastbound on Interstate 580, then you've probably noticed the walls are up for the new building. Even the Target circle logo is apparent on one wall.

The new store is expected to open in October, according to the city's Economic Developer Director, Linda Maurer.

The Target will be located on the west side of the Fallon Road overpass in a complex called Fallon Gateway Shopping Center. Fallon Gateway is currently marketing space for lease.

The Fallon Gateway Project is a commercial center that includes more than 350,000 square feet of retail development.

According to Maurer, that space includes enough square footage for four to five restaurants. There is no confirmation yet on what shops or restaurants could move in near the Target.
