Construction Moving Along at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse

The national restaurant chain is expected to open its Dublin location early this spring.

If you've spent time at the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center recently you may have noticed construction is well underway on .

The restaurant is located across from , which opened last fall.

According to city officials, the restaurant is expected to open early this spring.

BJ's Restaurant features about 100 menu items that include deep dish pizza, salads, sandwiches, soups, pasta and their own line of handcrafted microbrewed beers, according to its website. Customers can also look forward to their "famous" Pizookie dessert, which includes a cookie topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and served in a deep dish.

The restaurant has locations throughout the Bay Area and country. Nearby locations Concord, Newark, San Mateo and San Bruno.

I love BJ's, and I'm excited that it is opening in Dublin. And it is within walking distance......gotta love that!

I'd really like to see a healthy-food restaurant open in Dublin. Whenever we want to get a healthy dinner fast, we head up to Whole Foods in San Ramon.

Hmmmmm. Sure wish Pleasanton would see some places like thus open up, or that the city would actually allow it.
