Free gardening classes in time for spring

The weather is getting warmer and plants are starting to bloom. If you are feeling your green thumb starting to itch, check out the classes offered at Armstrong Nursery the next couple of months.

According to Carol Bassett, an Armstrong Nursery Professional, the nursery offers the free classes most Saturdays at 9 a.m.

Armstrong Nursery is located at 7360 San Ramon Road in Dublin.

“Each class is taught by a nursery professional specially trained in the subject matter of that day,” said Bassett.

Bassett says those who attend a class usually receive a coupon. She says classes vary in size but are held inside the nursery, rain or shine, all year.
