Party in the Street for a Good Cause: National Night Out 2012

It's America's Night out Against Crime!

On Tuesday, August 7, 2012 the will participating in National Night Out along with other communities nationwide to unite, build camaraderie and demonstrate their anti-crime and drug stance.

Participation in National Night Out represents the pro-active involvement of Dublin’s community members and their commitment to preserving the City’s quality of life. The City of Dublin urges residents and businesses to give crime and drugs a going away party by turning on their porch lights and hosting a block party or event in order to display their neighborhood unity.

The City of Dublin Neighborhood Resources Unit, City Officials, and Dublin Police Services – with McGruff the Crime Dog in tow – will be joined by the Fire Department and California Highway Patrol who will be visiting local residents and businesses between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM. Citizens will have the opportunity to meet with their local first responders and display a united front against crime and drugs.

This year two major retailers, Ulferts Center and the Hacienda Crossings, will be participating in National Night Out to express their support of the community and partnerships with the City of Dublin. They will be celebrating outdoors with giveaways and refreshments.
