Bike Rodeo at John Green Elementary School

Young bicycle riders learned skills to help prepare them for riding back to school.

Submitted by: Grier McCurdy Mathews

Nearly 100 students (and siblings) turned out for the bike rodeo at on August 21. The Alameda Bike Mobile was on hand to help students learn to repair their bikes.

This is one of dozens of back to school events around the Bay Area to encourage alternative ways to school in order to reduce pollution and congestion around schools.

Did you or you child go to the bike rodeo? What was the most important skill or safety rule did they learn?
