Video: Comics Go For The Kill at The Willow

Standup comics from around the Bay Area are competing in the 6th Annual Killer Laughs Competition at The Willow in Dublin.

The competition is every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and features 80 comics, culminating in the finals on June 13.

Tthe competition is currently in the preliminary rounds, with the top four comics advancing to the quarterfinals — which begins May 2.

The comedy tournament is hosted by John DeKoven, who is running the competition because of his love of comedy.

"I just take a lot of pride in doing it and it's fun," DeKoven said. "There's not much money in it but it's a labor of love."
