Here's your weekend roundup of Patch's picks for family fun in the Tri-Valley for Sept. 2 - 5.

Looking for something fun to do with your family this Labor Day weekend? Here are Patch's top five local picks in and near the Tri-Valley.

Hear the high-energy rock band Public Eye during the last summer concert in Pleasanton, see a dazzling synchronized swim show in Walnut Creek, attend the Scottish Highland Games in Pleasanton, play at the FamilyFest in Walnut Creek and browse an antique fair in Danville. Looking for a kid-free escape? Try Livermore's 30th Annual Harvest Wine Celebration.

Where/When: Friday at 7 p.m. at in Pleasanton
Why Go: Catch the last free concert of the summer in Wayside Park,  where the high-energy rock band Public Eye performs rock songs from the 70s through today. See some song examples at publiceye.net.

Where/When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m. at the in Walnut Creek
Why Go:  The Aquanuts pay tribute to Michael Jackson during nightly synchronized swim performances. This special aquatic show, complete with dazzling lights, spectacular costumes and stage acrobatics, is open to the whole community.
Price: $20 for adults, $15 for kids ages 5 - 17, $15 for seniors. Click here to order tickets online.

Where/When: Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. at the in Pleasanton
Why Go: At this weekend's Scottish Highland Games, one of the world's largest Celtic festivals, you'll find Highland dancing championships, world championship heavy events, traditional and Celtic rock bands, wares from the British Isles and more.
Price: $Adults 1 day $20, 2 day $27; Child (12 - 17) $12; Seniors (65+) &12; Handicap $12; 11 & under free; Military (with active duty ID) free

4. FamilyFest
Where/When: Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the
Why Go: The Walnut Creek FamilyFest offers activities and sports for kids, live entertainment, arts and crafts, fair rides and more. Visit kidfestconcord.com for a full event schedule.
Price: $6 ($5 with a can of food donation for the Food Bank). Babies under two and seniors over 65 are free.

Where/When: Monday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Railroad Avenue in the Railroad Center and at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley in Danville
Why Go: If your family loves antiques and art, head to Danville on Labor Day for an antiques fair, where antique retailers and artists will display their collectibles for sale. If you have old treasures at home you're curious about, you can bring them into the antique appraisal clinic at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley and have them appraised for a nominal fee.
Price: The fair is free; appraisal clinic charges a nominal fee

Looking for a fun outing without the kids? Livermore holds its 30th Annual Harvest Wine Celebration this Labor Day weekend on Sunday and Monday at participating wineries.
