Where/When: Town Green (400 Front St.) in Danville on Friday from 8 - 10 p.m.
Why Go: Catch a free family-friendly flick during Danville's first Moonlight Movies event at the Town Green. Watch How to Train Your Dragon outside under the stars — or clouds. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. Come early for crafts and activities beginning at 6:30 p.m.

2. Disney's The Aristocats Kids and Broadway Cabaret
Where/When: in San Ramon on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 5 p.m.
Why Go: Tap your feet to Disney favorites like The Aristocats, Scales and Arpeggios and Everybody Wants To Be A Cat. Young performers ages 5 to 11 will entertain you with singing and dancing and local teen performers will present their original Broadway Cabaret Showcase.

Where/When: in Dublin on Saturday from 2 - 4 p.m.
Why Go: Go back to the Wild West during a fun family event that features cowboy crafts, cowboy stew, campfire songs and gold panning. Everyone is invited to dress in their favorite cowboy or cowgirl gear. Advance registration is required.

Where/When: in Pleasanton on Saturday and Sunday starting at 8 a.m.
Why Go: See more than 3,000 all-American hot rods, classics, muscle cars and more during during the Goodguys 18th Summer Get Together event. You'll also find a family-friendly arts & crafts show, model car show, a free model "make and take" project and kids play area.
Price: $17 general admission, $6 ages 7-12, free kids 6 and younger. Parking is $8.

Where/When: Flagpole Plaza (corner of First Street and S. Livermore Avenue) in Livermore on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Celebrate June's Western Heritage Month in downtown Livermore with chili sampling, wagon rides, live entertainment, cast-iron cooking, square dancing and more.
