Here's your weekend roundup of Patch's picks for family fun in the Tri-Valley for Sept. 30 through Oct. 2.

Looking for something fun to do with your family this weekend? Here are Patch's top local picks in the Tri-Valley.

This weekend you and your kids can watch air shows in Livermore, browse the home and garden show in Pleasanton, enjoy art in the park in Danville, attend a family cycling workshop in Dublin and visit a one-room schoolhouse in Danville.

1.
Where/When: Friday from 12 - 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the in Pleasanton
Why Go: The 25th Annual Fall Home & Garden Show features more than 350 exhibits showcasing new product demonstrations, landscape displays, decorating ideas and more. The first 300 attendees each day receive a free flowering plant.
Price: $6 for general admission, free for kids 12 and under, $8 for lot parking

Where/When: Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the
Why Go: At the Livermore Municipal Airport's annual open house, you can watch aerobatic performances by air show pilots, see the static display of Livermore aircraft and enjoy live entertainment. Ten lucky kids (ages 8 - 17) will get to go on an introductory flight with Captain "Sully" Sullenberger.
Price: Free admission

Where/When: Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the in Danville
Why Go: Take your family for a picnic at the old one-room schoolhouse in Danville, where you'll be taken back to the 1880s by costumed school marms during this special weekend open house event.
Price: Free admission

Where/When: Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the in Danville.
Why Go: See paintings, jewelry, scupltures, ceramics and other art showcased by more than 60 local professional artists. The annual festival, which benefits local school art programs, also features live music, art activities, face painting and train rides.
Price: Free admission

5.
Where/When: Sunday at 12 p.m. at the in Dublin
Why Go: This free workshop focuses on safe family cycling with a day of games, safety drills, skills building and a neighborhood ride presented by the East Bay Bicycle Coalition and REI safety instructors. Each child will receive a free red blinky light for participating. Note: Parents and kids must attend together and bring their own bikes.
Price: Free
