Week Ahead: Harvest Faire; Drug Drop-Off; REI Camera Class; New Library Teen Group!

Monday, Oct. 21 

  • Teen Advisory Group Calling all teens 13 to 19! The Library is starting up its Teen Advisory Group for teens to have a voice in library materials and programs offered. It's YOUR voice, Your Ideas, Your Library. 6:30 p.m. Dublin Library Program Room.
  • Harvest Moon Classic Dog Shows 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Alameda County Fairgrounds. Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore and Skyline Dog Fanciers of San Mateo County.

  • Prevent Elder AbuseDublin Library. Speakers from Alameda County's Adult Protective Services will discuss: types of abuse; how to make a report; how to avoid becoming a victim of abuse. 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 25Saturday, Oct. 26
  • Harvest Faire 1 p.m. to  4 p.m. at Dublin Pioneer Cemetery. Step back to simpler times. Try your hand at old-time harvest activities like hand cranking ice cream, weaving and churning butter. Wagon rides, Bluegrass and good country food. 
  • HAUNTED HOBBIT TREE! 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. spooky half-mile walk with park rangers. Pre-registration required. Livermore.
  • Haunted Depot.  90 First Street, Benicia. The normally mild mannered Southern Pacific Railroad Depot has been mysteriously transformed into a frightful depository of ghosts, goblins and spirits.
  • TS Gun Show. Alameda County Fairgrounds. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
