Andrew P. Shelly, a corporal with the United States Marine Corps., was recently welcomed home during a ceremony organized by the Pleasanton Military Families.

According to Pat Frizzell of the Pleasanton Military Families, Shelly grew up in Dublin and his father lives in Pleasanton.

Frizzell says the homecoming was held at the Livermore Harley-Davidson dealership where Shelly was picking up his motorcycle.

"Shelly was having his Harley serviced so he could take it back to Camp Pendleton," Frizzell said.

Shelly was given a motorcycle escort by the Warriors’ Watch Riders from the dealership. Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne, Councilmember Kathy Narum and members of the community attended the ceremony in Pleasanton.
