Yep, it's true. Livermore's national lab is playing a role in the highly-anticipated flick. We broke the news last week courtesy of .

For Livermore-resident Ashley Schneider, the news of Star Trek stars in the area was too good to be true — and pass up.

The 17-year-old Star Trek-fanatic headed over to the for a shot to see the big screen stars up close and in person. It proved to be a good move.

Schneider was able to take a picture with actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who is set to play Kahn.

Chris Pine, who plays Kirk, was also there but he declined to have his picture taken, Schneider said.

"I didn't ask either Chris nor Benedict about the movie because I didn't want them to give anything away," Schneider said.

No spoilers here. You go, girl!

As for Scotty and Spock? Schneider was unable to locate them at the restaurant.

Area Trekkies who missed out on the Hooters sighting don't fret. It appears there will be other opportunities to catch the stars hanging around the Valley.

Pegg on Sunday announced that everyone must try an omelet at on Main Street in Pleasanton via his Twitter account:

We were in Dean's Cafe on Main St, Pleasanton CA. California omelet is a chili drenched must. Get some!!
