Grab & Go Kids Planner: Juggling Shows, Earth Day Celebrations and More

Here's your weekly roundup of kid-friendly events in the Tri-Valley for Wednesday through Sunday.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids this week?

Our Grab & Go calendar focuses on five kid-friendly events in the Tri-Valley. And we've added an out-of-town outing for an easy weekend getaway.

    Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Museum on Main in Pleasanton
    Why Go:
    Bring your preschoolers to a special "M.O.M.'s Reading Time," a free program that introduces children to books and activities about the unique people, places and events in the community. This month's theme is "Eggs-tra Special Springtime."

  • Where/When:
    Friday at 8 p.m. at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore
    Why Go:
    The whole family will be thrilled watching these world famous performers mix comedy with amazing juggling feats. See the Flying Karamazov Brothers juggle fiery batons and other unusual objects in a show that mixes fireworks, visceral physicality and theatrical innovation. Hurry, tickets are going fast.

  • Where/When:
    Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasanton Library
    Why Go:
    Celebrate Earth Day early with a free festival featuring hands-on demonstration booths, displays for kids, live entertainment and more. Ride your bike to this fun-filled event that explores our natural world. Don't miss the "Doug Nolan's Eco-Tainment" juggling and comedy show at 3 p.m.

  • Where/When:
    Saturday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Forest Home Farms in San Ramon
    Why Go:

  • Where/When: Saturday starting at 9 a.m. in Downtown Danville
    Why Go: Learn how to compost at a class at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, discover the "Wonderful World of Worms" near Farmer's Market and take advantage of "bike-to-lunch" specials at Jules Thin Crust, Norm's Place and La Boulange. for other "Spring Fling" events in Downtown Danville.

Got robot lovers in your family? Take them to "RoboGames 2011," where 1,000 competitors from 20 countries compete in more than 50 events—soccer, hockey, robot combat, sumo, art and more.
