Did you Feel It? 2.9 Earthquake Reported North of Dublin

A loud noise associated with the quake has been reported by several residents.

2.9-magnitude earthquake struck an area two miles east of San Ramon on Friday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor occurred at 10:04 p.m. about 2 miles east of San Ramon and 4 miles southeast of Danville and 5 miles north of Dublin. The earthquake had a depth of about 5.2 miles, according to the USGS.

Several Patch readers reported a loud noise along with the quake.
