Ask a Chef: What Herbs Belong in Spaghetti Sauce?

Patch gets readers' cooking conundrums answered by certified personal chef Michele Wieser.

Ever had a question you wanted to ask a chef but didn't know one to ask? Dublin's Chef Michele Wieser, better known around the Tri-Valley as "Chef Shell the Dinner Belle," answers your cooking queries.

Patch reader Ken Sala asked, via Facebook:  Which herbs go in spaghetti sauce?

Chef Shell says she recommends basil, oregano and parsley.

"If you are using fresh herbs, they go into the sauce at the end," Chef Shell said. "Dry herbs go in at the beginning."
