Family Caregiving Workshop 9/7 10-11:30am Dublin Sr Ctr

"Caregiving Across Generations: A Workshop on Engaging Adult Children in Parents' Care" by Sharon Marts, EdD
Sat. Sept 7, 10-11:30 at Dublin Senior Center

Discussing the topic of caregiving for a senior is not always easy, but in a family where adult children are able to assist (either nearby or from afar), having strategies to engage their help is vital and important. Topics include how and what kinds of help family members can contribute, while honoring the capabilities and limits of all involved. Finally, we will create a personal "ethical will" in which each person puts values on paper to share with others, or keep private.

RSVP by Friday, Sept. 6th by calling Dublin Senior Center 925-556-4511 and reference activity #32494.

Location: Dublin Senior Center at 7600 Amador Valley Blvd., Dublin, CA 94568

NOTE: This Sept 7, 2013 workshop is designed for those who are family caregivers now or who will be caregiving in the future for a spouse or a parent/relative who needs care.
