California Connections Academy Opens Enrollment for the 2014-2015 School Year

California Connections Academy @ Ripon, an online public school serving students in grades K-12, is accepting new students for the 2014-2015 school year during the current open enrollment period. Now in its second year of instruction, California Connections Academy provides high-quality, personalized online education to more than 500 students in Alameda, Amador, Calaveras, Contra Costa, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Santa Clara and Stanislaus counties. The school is now hosting free family information sessions—both online and in-person—with Connections Academy educators and staff to fulfill the growing number of requests for information.

California Connections Academy combines state-credentialed teachers with a high-quality curriculum that meets rigorous state education standards. Students receive individualized attention and have access to unique offerings such as Career Technical Education (CTE) courses, the exclusive Juilliard eLearning program and several clubs. Each student’s teacher and Learning Coach—a parent or guardian that guides the student—work in tandem to create an individualized learning plan to meet their student’s learning needs and style.

“Every family should feel empowered to choose the education option that works best for them, and now is the ideal time to begin exploring education choices for the upcoming school year,” said Tim Batiuk, principal at California Connections Academy. “I encourage anyone with questions to attend an information session and learn about our individualized approach to education.”

California Connections Academy serves a wide array of students, from those who benefit from a flexible schedule to those who learn at a different pace from their peers or need more individualized attention.  The diverse student body includes competitive athletes with rigorous schedules, students seeking expanded course offerings, previously homeschooled students, among others.
