Assemblywoman Endorses Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti for State Assembly

Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti received a key endorsement in his race for State Assembly. Assemblymember Nancy Skinner who represents AD 15 which neighbors AD 16, (and which covers parts of Alameda and Contra Costa County, including Berkeley, Richmond, El Cerrito, Emeryville and Oakland), threw her full support behind Sbranti. Prior to redistricting in 2012, Skinner represented the LaMorinda portion of the newly drawn AD 16 for which Sbranti is running for.

Skinner said:

“Tim Sbranti’s dedication to public service is reflected in everything he does. Tim works hard and effectively. As a teacher Tim is committed to improving our local public schools and offers his services as a coach and mentor to his students. As Mayor he increased the quality of life in Dublin with community projects like the Farmers Market, the renovation of the Shannon Community Center and the Heritage Park and Museum. He will represent us well in the State Assembly.”

Sbranti accepted the endorsement saying:

“I am humbled to have the support of Nancy Skinner. She has been very influential and productive in her time in Sacramento. Just this year 14 of her bills were signed into law by the Governor, including a school nutrition bill, a worker safety bill, and bills to reduce gun violence. I hope to follow her example in Sacramento. “
