'Great California ShakeOut' Happening in Dublin Schools

The day after the anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake, earthquake drills will be happening at 10:18 a.m. in schools all over California today.

From the Dublin Unified School District:

The district will be conducting an earthquake drill on Thursday October 18 at all school locations as well as the district office.

This drill is called “The Great California ShakeOut” and involves almost every school in California as well as businesses, community organizations, and families. It is an opportunity for Dublin Schools to practice what we would do during and after a real earthquake.

You can also participate in the ShakeOut by discussing earthquake preparedness at home and planning your own drill for October 18th.
